Back to Home ... s/v Stella Blue home ... Running Rig Page ... Projects

This page makes me laugh.

Getting the running rig finished and getting the boat into sailing shape became a Number One priority in my life.
I was not going to own this boat a year without sailing her. The last month became a total frenzy of activity, and the interior of the boat tells the tale... The next step is to take anything not related to sailing off the boat, throw it into the back of the truck and lock the camper shell down and deal with it later.

Here's what the Galley looks like!

...and the starboard bench...

I now have one steel sliver and one aluminum sliver in my toes. Two aluminum slivers and about seven fiberglass slivers in my knees.
(Fiberglass slivers in the knees
are the WORST.
Learn from my mistake and do whatever you can to avoid them.)

I'm sure they'll go away eventually.

Yes, I have totally rebuilt my rig from the hull up and yes, apparently,
I've gone quite mad.

...and under the companionway...

...and the starboard quarter berth...

...and the port quarter berth...

...and my toes.

I have totally lost my mind.
